Downtown Mirthville

Daisy Dancer strode down the pastel-white street of downtown, on her way to Buster Breadmaker's Bakery for some of those delicious rolls he made. A breeze ruffled her skirt, showing a bit of her shapely smooth thigh, and across the street a moose in a business suit leaped into the air, steam erupting from his ears as his eyeballs shot out of his skull before being yanked back into their sockets, like bouncy balls attached to string. She rolled her eyes, and stood at the crosswalk, tapping her foot impatiently. As she waited for the light to turn green, she noticed it had grown dark around her. She looked up and saw a massive shape plummeting towards her. She shrieked, trying to run, but her feet merely spun in loops beneath her, unable to gain traction. At the last second, a broad figure swept her out of the way, lifting her off her feet as a piano slammed into the ground, its keys flying off in every direction. Daisy looked up into the smiling face of the man who'd rescued her; it was Handsome Harold, his pearly white teeth gleaming in the morning sun as he grinned. "You all right there, doll?" he asked in his usual smarmy manner. "Fine, thanks. Now would you kindly move your left hand somewhere a bit less personal?" Daisy replied.

50% Human, 50% Toon

Government

Mayor Mallard runs things things 'round here. The old duck mostly makes sure everyone plays fair and pranks don't get too far outta hand, or paw, or claw, or tentacle, or whatever appendage you might have on your person.

Defences

Aside from the police, defenses ain't particularly necessary, seeing as no one in Mirthville can die. Besides, what kinda sick freak would want to attack a place like this?

Industry & Trade

Mirthville's economy is pretty much self-contained. We pay for goods and services more as a courtesy than anythin' else, seeing as we never seem to run out of food, water, or other essentials. People and Toons work around here because they enjoy it, not out of any kind of necessity.

History

The old Funtoon Animation studio was the first building to appear in Mirthville. No one seems to remember much about it, except that humans used to work inside it and Toons would occasionally pop out of it. The city was build around it, though it stopped expanding the day it went dark, and has stayed mostly the same since.

Architecture

Downtown Mirthville's mostly tall buildings and whatnot, though frankly no one really knows what goes on in them. I can't think of a single human or Toon that actually has an office job. They're great for droppin' heavy object's on people's heads, though.
