CSV Runner-Up Rising Star

The CSV (Commercial Space Vessel) Runner Up Rising Star is the worst. Just the fucking worst. It’s not even that bad a ship in terms of construction or safety or anything, it’s just old, clunky, and annoying as all fuck. Initially owned and licensed by the now predictably defunct StarrTech Corporation, the Runner-Up Rising Star was one of many bizarre ships manufactured in an attempt to make highly affordable space vessels by using the cheapest functional options and turning the vessel itself into advertising space and a platform for monetization. Though StarrTech has long since gone bankrupt, many of the more annoying features were hard-coded into the ship, and years of modifications and retrofitting have only done so much. While it was remarkably cheap even brand new, it was too much of a predatory pain in the ass for most spacers to bother with, and it still cost far more than the cheap manufacturing was worth. The company flopped horribly, leaving it’s fleet of shitty ships floating around and selling for incredibly cheap. They provide an excellent, if absolutely infuriating opportunity for downtrodden spacers, and the crew of the MIII found the Runner-Up Rising Star to be no exception
