Miserlond

A dark world full of miserable creatures, Miserlond is a land of dark fairy tale creatures, where the bad are often good, and so you can only imagine who the actual villians might be. There are little to no laws, and most people are governed by their own greed, as well as their want to appease their chosen deity.   Of the deities there are several to choose from; Aeges, the deliverer; Ravage, the reaper; Howel, of the land; and Gentry, the trickster. Depending on which of these deities someone follows, determines how they view and treat the world around them. While most common folk are generally harmless and follow the guidance of Aeges, there are those that follow the other three, and lead more interesting and/or nefarious lives.   The "heroes" find themselves in the midst of the beginning of a civil war between the tyranical ruler of the land, who has recently begun to show signs of following the ethos of the reaper, and two other factions of varying goals. One being the followers of the trickster, who wish to see the world full of true freedom and "fun" and the other being followers of the god of nature, who wish to bring down the rise of colonialism.
