The Seer, Lord of the Wind

The Seer uses the four winds to gather information about the world, adding the whispers he hears to his great library so that he might someday collect all knowledge into one place. He is also said to be the one who sends winds to speed ships on their way.

Description

Often depicted as a figure in white robes, Arenar is said to be entirely composed of the winds over which he holds dominion. When his hood is drawn, a blindfold of pure gold wraps across its front to obstruct the Seer's eyes.

Personality

Usually gentle, but when his curiousity is peaked he is whipped into a frenzy by his insatiable desire for knowledge.

Worshippers

Wizards and artificers often dedicate themselves to the Lord of the Winds, praying that a fragment of his endless knowledge might be granted to them. The Eskan Empire's focus on improvement and discovery means that there are many humans that worship him, and most places of learning will also include a shrine out of respect.
There are some priests of his following who choose to blind themselves, taking on the appearance of the god in order to ensure that their prophecies or poetics are spiritually "pure". In part due to this practice, followers of the Seer are always willing to take in those with nowhere to go or those abandoned for their physical deformities.

Chosen - Prophecy

Depictions of Prophecy show him as a thin and delicate man, who always has his face cast in the shadow of a hooded robe.

He represents Arenar's neutrality, as well as his foresight and predictions of the future.

Chosen - Sage

Traditionally, Sage was thought to be a tall elven man, barefoot and clad in loose robes. On his back he wore an old leather pack, bursting with tomes full of ancient and forbidden knowledge. These tomes represented his gift from Arenar - access to the Seer's endless knowledge of the past.
