Fallen Aasimar
History
Though many centuries have passed since the Chosen walked Mistral, their presence has not completely faded from its continents. Occasionally, a child will be born blessed by the blood of one of the Chosen. These children manifest the powers of their bloodlines in varying ways, and have come to be known by many names. Aasimar, changelings, and shifters all fall under the umbrella of "Descendants", despite the variety in their appearances and innate capabilities.Fallen aasimar are thought to be descendants of Affliction, drawing their natural abilities from Setris themself. Due to their ties to the Reaper, the birth of such an aasimar is often viewed as an ill omen for their home. People will begin to whisper, concerned that the arrival of a pale child with eyes like starlight signals the end of prosperity in their corner of the world. These rumours mean that most fallen aasimar are treated as harbingers of bad fortune, and may struggle to find a friend in a new town. In some areas of the world, they may even be treated with outright hostility.
