Kenku

History

The stories say that the race known as kenku were once ravens who were transformed into a mortal race to serve as caretakers and informants for Arenar's endless libraries. The Seer bestowed them with a talent for deception and going unnoticed, and with these talents the kenku became Mistral's first spies. They learned to speak in whispers and phrases they stole from the winds, but never quite found their own voices. 
Many folks live their whole lives believing kenku to be little more than fairy tales. The few that wander the world find themselves treated with equal parts wonder and fear, especially in places with heavy religious influence.
