Centaur
The Centaur are a intelligent race of creatures with a blend of humanoid and equine features. They have a torso of a human atop the body of a horse.
Most modern human scholars believe then to be myths, something the Centaurs, and their Elven and Dwarven allies encourage. They are nomadic avoiding civilised human kingdoms, however they do trade and have good relationships with some tribal nations and isolated Jarinese settlements.
Society
Most Centaurs live in small family based tribe-herds of 8 to 20 individuals lead by a Chief.
Language
Centaurs speak their own language, however members of a tribe-herd occasional speak a local Human tongue. Many know the language of the Elves or Dwarfs.
Religion
Centaurs worship two great guiding spirits. Fylisin the Spirit of Nature and Kynlema the Spirit of the Hunt and War. These entities have a remarkably resemblance to the Gods Siem and Larani.
Warfare and Defense
Centaurs trade with trusted human tribes and the Dwarves and Elves for most of their weaponry as they have no interest in forging their own. They commonly use lances, but are also skilled with the axe and sword. The only weapons they make for themselves are good quality spears and bows.
Although they are formidable warriors in close combat, they favor using their mobility combined with highly coordinated hit and run tactics.
Occasionally Centaurs do skirmish with human tribes, usually over hunting rights, but this is rarely lethal. They will ally with human tribes or Dwarves when battling Orcs, although they are known to have cordial relationship with the somewhat more civilised and less violent White Orcs.

History
The Centaurs arrived on the Hârnic isle around the same time as the Elves, about 10,000 years ago.
Centaurs have always been a favourite of mine.I have Centaurs in my world, and one particular tribe I've started the article. The Tribe of the North Wind.i have three Centaur characters joining with a tribal human group in a campaign that I will be writing at a later date.I think you will enjoy my adventures once I publish them. I like Centaurs myself, primal and majestic creatures with their origins in real-world mythology, making them seen so strangely familiar. I have plans for them to play a larger role in the future Campaign. I am looking forward to seeing how your campaign goes and any adventure reports. It should be entertaining reading. Attacus
