Earthmaster Artifacts

Various Colombia Games products were used for inspiration.

Earthmaster Artifacts are nearly indestructible, blending Magic, Psionics, and Technology. They usually charged items; some require attunement but do not use up attunement Slots.

Ring of Mystic Wonder

Appearance: These rings usually have a purple gem in a simple setting.

Attunement: Required.

Properties: A wearer gains a randomly-generated psionics talent for as long as the ring is worn. A ring always grants the same psionic talent.

Once the ring has been consistently worn, it may confer the psionic talent permanently if the wearer makes a DC20 Charisma check. These checks can be made each time the wearer gains a level. Some rings are faulty and can cause madness or loss of psionic talents.

Crystal of Loc Korr

Appearance: A complex green crystal that glows softly in the dark.

Attunement: Not Required.

Properties: This artifact activates latent psionic abilities.

Touching this artifact allows the user to reroll their psionic talents check. If they have no psionic talents and the roll is successful, they gain a talent. If they already have psionics ability and the roll is successfully they gain a new talent.

Charges: 1d100.

Wicbeoch's Window

Appearance: A black-streaked patterned pseudostone with the dimensions of 15 x 11 x 0.5 inches.

Attunement: Psionics check DC 15.

Properties: This artifact creates a small gateway around 12 x 9 inches linking a known, previously viewed location and the Window. A user can manually move objects through the gateway in either direction, although spells and psionic effects are automatically dispelled. Magic or Psionic Items have a 10% chance of losing all their charges when passing through the gateway.

The Window can create a gateway up to a range of 10ft x the Psionic Skill of the user.

Charges: 2d20.







Rod of Awe

Appearance: A metallic rod adorned with clear Crystals.

Attunement: Psionics or Charisma check DC 10 to Attune.

Properties: When held aloft and invoked, the rod causes all living creatures within 50 feet (except the user) to become fatigued. Usable maximum once per 24 hour period.

Affected creatures must make a DC20 Charisma Saving throw.

If they succeed by 5 or more - No effect.

If they succeed - They suffer 1 level of Exhaustion.

If they fail - They suffer 2 levels of Exhaustion.

If they fail by 5 or more - They suffer 3 levels of Exhaustion.

Undead, Fiends, Celestials, and Elementals are not affected by this item.

Charges: 2d6.


Andarin-Wysan

Appearance: A small, gray, translucent egg.

Attunement: Psionics check DC 15.

Properties: This artifact charges other Earthmaster artifacts by expending one of its charges. The charges restored vary by item, but it is generally 1d6+5.

If an Earthmaster artifact is damaged, it has a 50% chance of repairing it by expending three charges.

Charges: 1d100 and cannot be recharged.


L’kirl-Wysan

Appearance: A silver, metallic egg about five inches long.

Attunement: Charisma check DC 13.

Properties: This device will deliver a message, in either verbal or telepathic form, to any person or entity known to the user. It will fly, teleport or even transport between planes to deliver this message. When the recipient is located, it will hover near them, deliver the message then await a reply. It will then return to the user, deliver the message, then fall dormant.

The time it takes to deliver the message depends on the Charisma (Psionic Skill) check.

The device will make the return journey usually within d4 hours.

Attacus

Green Eye of Turembor

Appearance: A spherical, transparent greenstone

Attunement: Not Required.

Properties: When held to the eye, it gives its user a green-tinted magnified view of any object in the line of sight. There is almost no limit to the range.



Amulet of the Blessing of Indaris

Appearance: A small, gray metallic hexagon.

Attunement: Not Required.

Properties: As long as it is worn, it increases its wearer’s Psionic Skill Checks by 1d6 points. When removed, the wearer suffers a penalty of 1d6 for a similar period.

Charges: 3d6 one charge is used up after each attunement.


Cube of Zolor

Appearance: A black 2 Inch Pseudostone Cube with sharp edges.

Attunement: Charisma check DC 18.

Properties: This cube will levitate and move telekinetically under the control of an attuned person. It has a range of 20ft, and as a bonus action, it will move rapidly in any direction, the user visualizes becoming a dangerous spinning projectile weapon. The attack modifier is the attuned person's Intelligence + Proficiency Bonuses, and the damage is 1d8 per Charisma Bonus piercing damage. It is considered a magic weapon.

Charges: 1d100.


Bowl of Prince Kulks-Xan

Appearance: A dark grey shallow bowl about 13 inches long and 3 inches deep. The outer rim is covered in small crystals.

Attunement: Charisma check DC 15.

Properties: This bowl heats or freezes liquid objects placed within with no risk of explosions or fires. This is a useful tool in Alchemy grants advantage when making certain dangerous preparations such as Alchemist Fire. Additionally, while in this vessel, water can take on the properties of a powerful acid.

History/Lore: Used by the dwarven Prince Kulks-Xan for his Alchemical Preparations.


Eye of Xaral-Akyr

Appearance: A clear crystal egg 4 inches long.

Attunement: Charisma check DC 13.

Properties: The Eye vibrates in the presence of telepathic communication or messages that pass within 10ft per wisdom bonus of the holder, minimum 10ft. When invoked, the holder can receive or intercept this message.

Charges: 1d100.


Casket of Transference

Appearance: A plain Silver box 6 ft long and 1 ft high and wide. It only weighs 5 lbs.

Attunement: Psionics or Charisma check DC 13 to Attune.

Properties: This item is paired with an identical artifact. On activation, a compartment will open. Any items placed within will be transported to the paired artifact within 1d6 hours.

Charges: 1d100.


Spear of Icaron

Appearance: This spear is 8’ long, has a round shaft the diameter of a man’s finger, and is made of pseudostone. There is a 7” long stylized leaf-shaped spearhead on one end made from an unknown silver metal.

Attunement: Psionics or Charisma check DC 12 to Attune.

Properties: You can use an action cause the spear to become psionically fixed in place. Until you or another creature attunes to it, the spear doesn't move, even if it is defying gravity. The spear can hold up to 8,000 pounds of weight. More weight causes the spear to deactivate and fall. A creature can use an action to make a DC 30 Strength check, moving the fixed spear up to 10 feet on a success
