Fort Sirion
A well-guarded secret fort located at the mouth of the Deret River, near the shore of Lake Benath, operated by the Miners Guild.
From this fort, the Miners Guild manages a series of ancient Dwarven silver mines at Iracu, located further up the Deret River. These mines are covert and unknown to the Thardic Republic's authorities, who are defrauding the government of vast sums of tax income.
Several senators are aware of this operation and receive generous gifts from the Miners Guild. One of the conspirators is Senator Turin Markaz, a wealthy merchant from Shiran who famously spent 3,000 gold crowns to acquire his Senatorial Seat in 718. His son Malian Markax works closely with the miners guild supplying mercenaries and guards.
