Hârnic Currency

The Civilized kingdoms of Hârn use the silver standard.
  1 Silver piece (sp) also know as 1 Penny
  1 Gold piece (go), also known as the Khuzan Gold Crown, forged in the Dwarven Kingdom of Azadmere, is usually equal to 320sp but can fluctuate (up in times of war, down in rare occasions, e.g., after the discovery of a rich gold mine).
 

Other commonly used measures and coins

  1 Azadmere silver piece (ep) has high value and silver content as is generally accepted worth = 10sp.
  Rarer coins are in circulation or with collectors.

  Two-handed battle sword = 230 sp
Light Crossbow = 60sp
Battleaxe = 100sp
Warhorse = 600sp or more
Suit of Chain mail = 975sp
Hot meal = 1sp
4 x Basic meals = 1sp
Hogs head of good quality wine = 40sp
 

Value of other items

Gems and gold can be accepted as direct currency, although this is at the discretion of the trader.
  Trading in gems or precious metals for sp is unusually at half actual value, although prices can be negotiated up.
  One ounce of gold dust = 1,200sp
Small Diamond = 800sp
 

Promissory Notes

Moneylenders (Usurers) can prepare Promissory Notes. These can be redeemed at full value from the issuer and for reduced value from other Usurers. Distance from the issuer and reputation of the usurer will be factors.
