Hyadak Masks

The Hyadak are not used just to intimidate or terrify; they are frequently enchanted becoming Morgathic priests personalized secret weapons.

Spell Receptacle

They can be used similarly to a spell scroll. A single spell can be inscribed on the inside of the mask and, when worn, can be discharged as a standard action, bonus action or reaction depending on the spell's specifics.

Special Power

Khala and higher can enchant their mask further conferring a range of special powers. The magic only works when worn by the crafting priest and are almost always powered or recharged by human sacrifice.

Typical benefits include;

Resistance to one energy type or one physical damage type (bludgeoning, piercing and slashing)

Proof against Divination magics

Mind shielding as per the ring of that name

Defence (either set AC of 14 or +2 AC)

Fear as per wand with the same name but 3 charges.

Darkvison 30ft range

Necrotic Focus +2 to the DC for any spells cast that do necrotic damage
