The Skaigeth are muscular quadrupeds, the size of a small horse, with heads that resembles that of a snapping turtle, and instead of feet, the lower half of each leg is tipped with a bony scimitar-shaped hook. They are usually encountered in small, highly coordinated packs preferring to pounce, striking first with their hooked limbs to impale prey before finishing it off with bites.

Skaigeth prefers lightly wooded hills and forests but can be encountered in heaths and any rocky environment. These ambush predators have a lifespan of around 35 years and will aggressively attack orcs at the exclusion of easier, less dangerous prey.
