Senate Honorguard

Made up of the best and most talented members of the S.E.P.S, these elite soldiers protect the archons and primarch day and night. They are distanced from all rivalry in the senate and only report to the primarch and his archons, not taking orders from anyone else. They are probably one of, if not the most dangerous and capable human warriors to have ever existed and have stopped countless assassinations in the past.

Structure

The honorguard operates in squads of eight, with at least one squad protecting one person at all times. Each squad has one leader which reports to the high-commander and his council directly. The high-commander directly reports to the primarch and decides on which squads go where at any given time. Due to the nature of the senate, the honorguard will at times be pitted against their normal S.E.P.S brothers. But if I had to put my money on any of them, I would choose the honorguard every time.

Recruitment and Training

Any particularly promising member of the S.E.P.S or sometimes a very promising member of the Republic commando's can be scouted for the honorguard. Although these are already trained, the new recruits will go through a short even more vigorous training course than they did at either the seppies or the commandos. They also get some extra training courses on specialist skills like medicine, fount, and languages. One of the aspects that is emphasised in these training courses is loyalty. Seppies are already completely loyal to the senate, but are often still bribeable. You'll have a hard time bribing a member of the honorguard though.

Equipment

Like the S.E.P.S and the commando's, the honorguard is equipped with the best of the best. Automatic crossbows, Finch launchers, fount everything, and the newest gadgets.
