Agricultural Workers

If there's one thing people of Mythrite can generally agree upon, it's that the town has too few agricultural workers. Just a handful of laborers toil around the clock to provide some fresh food, herbs, milk, and livestock to keep the rest of the town happy and full. Food shipped in from Waterdeep costs an exorbitant amount in a relationship that is clearly unsustainable for much longer.
Many agriculturalists went deep into debt for rich soil to be brought in for them, while others stretch their knowledge and resources to coax life to take hold in the flinty ground. Livestock also presents a challenge as the wild creatures of the wilderness also wish to dine on fresh meat.
Most of the agricultural workers have signed agreements with financiers to provide assistance in the case of emergencies that threaten the town. They repeatedly warn that should the town come under siege and have their incoming supplies from the river cut off, they would begin to starve in mere days. People nod in understanding and then go back to their business.
