Crybaby Bridge

The superstitious in Mythrite tell of an old, run-down bridge near the Eastgate Front where, long ago, a mother and her child supposedly drowned. There's little to no records of the bridge, as it is a small, rarely-used bridge that crosses a small portion of swampland, so some question whether or not it actually exists. Still, it is a popular ghost story told around campfires.   While the legend is up for debate, the bridge itself does, in fact, exist, and is so rotted that it would be unwise to attempt to cross it. Still, younger people looking for a thrill have been known to stumble across it every once in a while, which usually results in someone getting hurt. Some have complained that the bridge should be torn down, but the local government does not find it particularly worth the effort, since it is so obscure.   Crybaby Bridge's ghastly reputation generally drives away those who know about it, but some less scrupulous folks of the cultish variety have been known to meet up there. Its isolated location makes it ideal as a landmark. It is unknown what, if anything, that bridge has borne witness to.
