Remi Glen

Remi is a tall young woman with big brown eyes that radiate kindness and intelligence. Her hair is light brown and usually up in a braided crown, just like her mother (who’s har has now greyed). She has her father’s tan skin and her mother’s freckles. Her clothes are well worn in tones of green, yellow and white. It isn’t uncommon for her clothes to be stained from the grass and soil, but she doesn’t seem to mind so no one else does either. 
Remi, her parents, and her two younger sisters moved to the town of Mythrite when she was young, and she grew up on their family farm. The youngest brother was born here, and Remi would do anything to keep him safe. The two sisters are following in their parent’s footsteps on the path to becoming farmers, but they aren’t happy about it. Remi’s mother and father expect her to take over the farm when they are gone. As far as Remi knows, all of her ancestors have been farmers on both sides, and she is proud to continue the lineage.
Her determination of the farm makes her appear strong, but she is still far more physically weak than she lets on. She was sickly as a child, and her parents moved here to make money for her medicine. Her mother tends to worry and fret about the state of her health, but she is stubborn and determined to do things her way, and by herself. She knows she is capable and hates when people treat her like she is weak or needs to be taken care of.
She is motivated by seeing her work pay off. She loves seeing the plants grow from seeds and seeing people enjoy the food she helps to create. She is well respected within her farming community, as well as at the market where they sell their fruit and vegetables. Her favorite thing is helping her father and her brother at the market because Remi loves meeting new people, and trying to make connections with the regulars at their farm stand.
She is optimistic, agreeable, and hard-working (when things are going her way.) However, she has problems dealing with other people’s problems and emotions. Her family isn’t doing well financially, and she avoids talking about it because she doesn’t know what to say. She’d rather take action to fix the problem than to sit around and talk about it or acknowledge someone else’s emotions (or her’s).
She has a strong sense of right and wrong and strongly dislikes when the people around her give up on tasks, cheat, or break promises. However, her biggest pet peeve is seeing food go to waste (because she knows how hard it was to grow, and how much others need it). She feels like she needs to be kind and just in all her actions, and make up for the injustice of others. She will often give away fresh food to those in need (despite her father’s wishes.) This doesn’t help their financial problems one bit, but Remi can’t help but give a struggling regular a few extra potatoes if she thinks it would help.
