The Fisherman's Bounty

By the edge of The Market, bordering The Fishery & Eelery, the smell of fish is so strong that many shoppers bring nose plugs with them whenever they visit. While the smell comes mostly from the neighboring district, vendors joke that it comes entirely from The Fisherman's Bounty. The Bounty is a stand in front of a medium-sized shack in the very south of the Market. Started in the second year of Mythrite, it quickly became the most popular fishmonger in town. While many fishermen choose to sell their wares independently, most sell directly to the bounty. While much of their stock may go unsold if they set up their own booth, the Bounty buys their entire stock. They store fish in the shack, where they have some workers gutting and deboning. The bounty sells both whole and prepared fish, and because they buy directly from fishers, they rarely run out of stock. Because they have to wait for their stocks, the stall usually opens in the late afternoon. By this time one can usually find a long line of people waiting to get the freshest fish. Since they only buy what they think they can sell, fishers rush to get there as early as they can. At the end of the day, the extra fish are buried in the ground to become fertilizer. Recently, the shop's owners have begun going to smiths to create a container that can keep their goods fresh for longer to maximize their profits.
