The Highlanders
The Highlanders are the detachment of patrollers who cover the the smallest perimeter, but one of the most dangerous: The road to Silver-Dust, mining capital of Odelia. Unlike the rest of the patrols of Ménicéa, the Highlanders don't actually move a lot but keep key points of the road mainly constituted of bridges. Its members are fairly heavily armed, and are among those who, with the Creaky, are the most often attacked by outlaws and bears or other wild animals. Among them are the best archers of the Menicean army, enough to reassure the caravans that take the climb.
The Highlanders have no real barracks, except at Dust, but have a dozen outposts at the bridges and plateaus on the road.
