Eldin Mountain Chain
Geography
One of Hyrule's two primary mountain ranges, the Eldin Mountains are the center of Hyrule's industrial production. The range is best known for the indomitable Death Mountain, which rises at the front of the chain and is followed by considerably shorter, non-volcanic peaks. However, even excluding the massive Death Mountain, the Eldin Mountain Chain has the highest average height of any other mountain group, significantly surpassing the Hebra Mountains in second place.
Fauna & Flora
Flora in the Eldin Mountains is limited to a few wild indigenous safflinas and occasional clumps of shrubbery. The volatile, ceaseless nature of Death Mountain's emissions makes the area inhabitable to most flora, and water sources are few and far between.
The dodongo is the primary unique animal species in the region and can be found across the entirety of the Chain, including in and around the magma on Death Mountain.
Natural Resources
Rich in both precious metals and jewels as well as industrial metals, the Eldin Mountain Chain is home to Hyrule's most prominent mining operation. While the surrounding area in the province is home to industrial plants, the Mountain Chain is the source of almost all raw earth material in the country.
