The Master Sword was originally forged by the goddess Hylia herself, although it has required reforging, reawakening, and revitalizing through various magical means over the eons.

Significance

The Master Sword is an incredibly mythical object that only seems to resurface when the Hero needs it. Intermittently it fades into legend, and in the modern era, few believe that it still exists. Nonetheless, it is a common element in religious stories and other myths.
