Twinrova
Requirements
The position of Twinrova is not one that needs to be filled in Gerudo society, it is only used after a set of twins with the complementary powers of ice and fire magic are born. It is an innate and inborn position, and even if one were to study either of those schools of magic and have a partner studying the opposite, it wouldn't make one Twinrova.
Appointment
Some Twinrova do not choose to present themselves as such, but those that do are welcome to present themselves to the Gerudo chieftain at the time in order to introduce themselves and go through a ceremony.
Cultural Significance
Twinrova are, in a way, an extension of the significance of twins in Gerudo culture. Twins have always been seen as special, as in a society that long struggled with keeping up birth rates, two babies in one go are a welcome surprise. That the occasional batch of twins develop legitimate magical powers has never seemed out of the ordinary, and their powers always manifest in the form of extreme cold and extreme heat, the two extremes of desert living.
Due to Ganondorf himself having been raised by a pair of Twinrova, Hyruleans have long been wary of the tradition, and many less-educated folks still think Twinrova is synonymous with "evil witches." It is an incorrect belief.
Notable Holders
Ganondorf, the Demise in Gerudo form, was raised by a pair of Twinrova, Koume and Kotake. Two of the current Gerudo chieftain's four daughters, Makooru and Mantami, are Twinrova, the first seen in about thirty years.
