Moon Fall

Introduction

It happened gradually. The world joined together, but in the end could not stop the inevitable. Gratefully, Earth's gravity pulled the moon apart creating the great rings. People were scared. Our machines stopped working, the long winter came, and with it the Great Dying... Things were hard. So hard. When the sun finally returned I was all that remained of my family.

It took years for us to understand. Magic had returned to the world and not just for us but some of all the kinds of life on Earth. That's why Mr. Barks can talk now. It's why you have such beautiful ears. Remember, every time people look at you funny or call you elf, it's because you too have been touched by the magic. They are sad and angry because they have not. You are special. In this world we need as much special as we can find.
