Braided Quarterstaff
Staff (quarterstaff), uncommon (requires attunement)
This staff is made from a stretch of oak wood and a stretch of ash wood intertwining and twisting together with each end on the quarterstaff capped in a piece of steel, helping to reinforce the "braid" of the two woods.
This staff grants the wielder +1 to hit and +1 to damage. Also, as a bonus action, the wielder can say a command word to have the staff illuminate as if affected by a light spell (bright light in a 20-foot radius, and dim light for an additional 20-feet). As a bonus action, the wielder can say a command word to stop the staff from illuminating.
History
The dark elf necromancer, Mysafiestal, had possession of this staff in the ruins of Bol Kahldur. Since both oak and ash trees do not grow under the surface, it is a safe assumption that the Braided Staff was taken from an explorer in the ruins.
