Midone

The Merchantfriend

For better or for worse, Midone taught the folk the value of items and labor. She is the patron of merchants and commerce, roads and business. She is said to have whispered into the ears of those that Ctenmillar has inspired, creating not just self-worth for forging an item, but creating value for it as well. Midone is said to have laid down the first roads between communities so that they could travel and trade wares. She watches over every transaction that occurs above the table, but also every one that occurs below the table as well, for the black market is still commerce.

Midone is most often depicted as a lithe figure with dark curls dressed commonly despite her wealth.

Tenets of Faith

  • Destroy no trade good, raise no restriction to trade, and propagate no malicious rumor that could harm someone's commerce.
  • Give money freely to beggar and business, for more coin should urge to spend than to horde.
  • The bold find gold, the careful keep it, and the timid yield it up.

Holidays

Her holy day is celebrated near the end of summer, when grand markets are established to sell the crafts and wares produced before harsher winters close trade routes, often celebrated with Ctenmillar’s followers.
