Nyctelios

The Mad God

Little is known about Nyctelios and what they were before they went mad. However, they are responsible for bringing aberrations into the world and as their power grew, they began to create stranger and odder beasts into the world. They then used their power to turn against the other gods, devouring and destroying two of them. For this transgression against their brethren, Nyctelios was punished by the other gods who worked together to imprison Nyctelios far beneath the sea. Even bound, Nyctelios reaches out to touch the weakened minds of the mad, creating followers to worship them, to continue to give them strength and sustenance even despite their imprisonment.

The only depictions of Nyctelios are from the mad and there is little that unifies their vision. They are a mass of black tendrils, or a tall being with one eye, or a long spiral.

  • Ruin and raze the realms to prepare for their day of liberation.

Holidays

Nyctelios has no coordination in worshipers to have any established holy days. However, despite the lack of unity, their followers do have some coordinated ideals and dogma.
