Siv Arnidottir
Maiden of Ice
Siv Arnidottir, to be known as the Maiden of Ice, was once a shieldmaiden of the Northmen, born into a world of harsh winters, brutal warfare, and constant struggle. Her legend began when her clan faced annihilation at the hands of a marauding warlord. After watching her family slaughtered and her village burned, Siv did not succumb to despair. Instead, she took up her father's axe and led a small band of survivors into the frozen wilds, where they were forced to survive in the cruel, biting cold. Her strength, unyielding determination, and wisdom in battle helped them endure.
In the icy wilderness, Siv learned to respect the cold as a tool, treating it not as an enemy but as a weapon to be wielded. She led guerilla strikes against the warlord, using the harsh landscape to her advantage. Eventually, she faced him in single combat, defeating him in a battle that became legend. Siv struck him down, but her body was grievously wounded. Instead of succumbing to her injuries, she ascended—her soul claimed by the frost itself, becoming a protector and embodiment of the harsh but just northern winters.
Siv was deified as the Maiden of Ice by those who followed her example. To the Northmen, she represented the ideals of honor, resilience, and mercy in the face of suffering. They saw her not only as a god hero of war, but of compassion—one who knew the sting of loss and the cold hand of death, yet fought for justice.
