Yther, The Tyrant

The Tyrant

Blood-drenched armies of brutal warriors oft crush their foes in the name of Yther, the patron of conquest, strength, and power. To serve his will is to accept the call to conflict, seeking lesser people to break and subjugate. Warmongering nations, goblinoid tribes, and tyrannical leaders worship Yther as they strike out at the world to bend it beneath them. Conquest is important, but Yther teaches that one must be able to hold onto what they obtain. As such, he despises Tempest and rebellion and his followers will attempt to snuff out any of Tempest’s followers before their rebellions might fester. It is said that Yther was once a warrior of the oppressed gobinoid tribes who followed the Red Knight. With her guidance, he united tribes and clans and grew in power and strength but wanted more. The Red Knight abandoned him for his cruelty, but her lessons were already learned. Soon, his want for power would not be sated until he became a god and his lust for power was so great that he obtained it.

Yther is most often depicted as a great hobgoblin warrior of massive size and strength. He wears full armor and wields a curved sword.
