Branch is a living, speaking flora that exists in the Desert of Whispers. They are an amicable, if strange being, who seems content to befriend any and everyone who comes in contact with them. According to them, every tree like them is the same person, and they can communicate with one another instantly. When asked how it works, they themselves do not know, nor do they seem interested in finding out.
They appear to be a large black tree, made of obsidian colored glass. Their branches stretch out like a Lichtenberg figure. They are capable of moving, a distance they call "klick klacks" based on the sound their roots make. They measure time through "glig-glugs," the measure of which is not fully explored. They are capable of rapidly growing additional branches, which can then be broken off at will.
