Viajero
The Viajero are a group of Explorers, Trappers, Hunters, and Guides who ensure people respect the boundaries of nature while also keeping travelers alive.
To become one, one must first be a member of the Akacheta. Then, they must be considered old enough to declare their path. Finally they must undergo a quest, set forth by a Temachti. Once they pass these they are considered a fully fledged member of this group.
Structure
The Viajero have no leaders or set structure, and rely entirely on sharing information with one another. It is often considered wise to learn of the land from a nearby Viajero, and to defer to the one who knows the area best.
Public Agenda
The Viajero sell their skills to people across the colony. In so doing they ensure nature is respected while also keeping others safe.
Their main services include:
Acting as a guide for explorers.
Advisers to political leaders regarding the natural order.
Hunting and gathering for food and water in times of need.
Aiding adventurers or military men in bringing down dangerous creatures.
Being a font of information about the local wildlife.
Assets
Information about the land is their main asset, but a sufficiently well connected Viajero can pull strings to gain supplies for free. In addition a Viajero carries a sense of security.
History
The Viajero were originally just a group within the Akacheta, but after the colony's founding, many felt this was a need for the people nearby.
