Bryliax Breevleefz

Bryliax Breevleefz

A child born with great expectations abandoned in the depths of a forest in Rishon is where the story begins. What might've been a tragic quick end for the baby took a strange turn of events when a pair of goblins stumbled upon the crying bundle nestled inside a tree stump.   "We can't leave it! Look at its eyes!" One yelled to the other, picking the baby up and looking it over. "Worf a fortune that I reckon. We should sell it!"   That was the agreement, for how many times did you find a baby with glowing eyes in the forest?!   But as the small child grew, the members of the tribe began to grow fond of her inquisitive nature. By 8, she had surpassed even the tallest of the goblins and soon became useful for protection. At 18, she was the strongest member of the tribe, able to wield multiple weapons and not afraid to get her hands dirty. She was a goblin through and through. At least that's what she had grown up to believe.   So on the fateful day when some adventurers took a disliking to the tribe and decided to wipe them out, their comment about how Bryliax must've been a prisoner confused her. Of course, the attackers didn't live to explain themselves, but the questions she asked her family gave her the answers.   "Well you are much taller than us, ya muppet. Wot did you think?" Greer asked her. Yes, they all got a good laugh out of that one.   That realisation lead the Aasimar to want to find out who she really was though. Were there others like her on this land? What was her heritage? Her goblin family let her go with the promise she'd at least come back and visit once in a while.   Though she did find towns and cities on the edges of the forest she called home, she struggled to find her place in that kind of society. Her goblin upbringing and care for nature didn't fit well within a place that relied on the exchange of coin and diplomacy. She turned back to the forest to continue her search in the comfort of the trees and rivers.   Though the barbarian was an unstoppable force, there were foes that were stronger than herself. A bad turn with some bandits near a ruin had her running for her life and when she thought it was the end... the most curious thing happened. A bear, large in size with warm brown fur came to her aid and offered its assistance. She assumed she was delirious from the fever or an infection but the bear she now refers to as her spirit guide did in fact save her life that day.   The spirit lead her to a druid circle nearby that helped heal her wounds and teach her their ways of living. She was introduced to their deity, Malar, God of the Hunt and soon turned to worship him too. She found strength in her new ability to transform into the same beast as her spirit guide, harnessed her rage to work in combat and learned the more gentle ways of diplomacy and wisdom.   After a decade with the druid circle, she was still dissatisfied with having never seen another being like herself and decided to try society again for some answers. She picked up odd jobs to have enough money for food and shelter when she was too far from the comfort of the forest, but otherwise made do with what she could. The townsfolk came to appreciate her company for she could provide them with protection that simple towns guards couldn't.   That was until the visions began and she found a new purpose...   Now she would brave a new land; Aelaes.

Raised by Goblins, trained by druids, Bryliax is on the search for her own people whilst trying to appease her spirit guide.
