The Frigid Wastes

The desolate locations by the Northern Expanse are battered by cold most of the year, but during the long winters, the Frigid Wastes become an unending night of snow and eerie lights. Only the most hearty or resolute settle or live out here, as the cold makes it unbearable to sustain plant life during these months. Lizardfolk of this region will often go into hibernation at the start of Frigis to survive until Rolthis and the warmth of spring. There are no cities aside from the dwarven mountain city of Bura' Ruhr and the subterranean drow cities, only villages, small settlements, and a few nomadic camps.
The mental disorder Dark Mind is most prevalent here, as the days and nights without the lights in the sky are almost pitch black, and sunlight is only available four months of the year.
