Planning Ahead

I've looked forward to Summer Camp since the last one ended. Summer Camp 2018 was the time I really started using WA, and I learnt so much in that one month. The community on discord was wonderful and I was inspired to write for once. Somehow, I managed to finish all 30 prompts, I even wrote at the pool on vacation! It really got my gears turning, and I learned quite a lot from that first Summer Camp.

Prompt #1

Summer Camp is a marathon, and all marathons need some planning. They get you motivated and get you ready to go right out of the gate.   Give us a WA article that summarizes what you want to cover in Summer Camp.

❀ Plans for Summer Camp 2019 ❀

Before Summer Camp

  • Note down all the aticle ideas I've had.
  • Figure out when I have time to write during the month.
  • Make some decorative drawings for the articles. I'm a sucker for layout and drawings can make for very pretty dividers and general ornaments.
  • Find a designated SC notebook that I can keep with me at all times, both before and during the challenge.

✧ General Goals ✧

  • I want to create polished articles for my world. Not too rushed.
  • I aim to expand on relevant parts of Morlea during the challenge.
  • I plan on tweaking the CSS and BBCode a bit, to make my articles more reader-friendly. This will mainly impact new articles, but after SC is over, I plan on going over all old articles.

During Summer Camp

  • The first thing I'll do is take a look at the prompts and then write the ones I have inspiration for immediately. Or at least write my ideas down.
  • At least write an article every other day. Have designated days where I'll sit down and write multiple at a time.
  • Take part in the meetup as well as engage with the community online. I want to make sure I give feedback and share the love, I want to do my part in making SC a great time for all.

Ah yes, the great eternal struggle to master the art of CSS and BBCode all while constantly updating older articles. A great struggle that so many of us have to go through and endure, but in the end (if there even is an end), we will have gorgeous reader-friendly worlds! :D

I like that you gave the middle column a different colour. It makes everything more interesting and the way you made it happen without using containers is pretty clever.

It was fun reading your plans :D Good luck with the upcoming homework prompts and Summer Camp itself. Can't wait to see what the prompts are and what you'll do with them!
