Founder

Joanna Sailon Pious Duaghter of Everest Sailon and a mage that specialized with white, blood, and spirit magic. A powerful enchantress and respected priestess. Before the Assassination, Joanna was a high member of the Coucil of 12 Whites. After partipating in the assaination she was appointed as the next Mother Maiden, become hte head of the Church of the Blessed Mother

Current Status

The empire ended when the CBM lost Political influence. However the church remains as one of the largest religions in the region

History

Before the assassination of Everest, Joanna was already a respected member of the Council of 12 Whites. Then during the assassination, Joanna served as a crucial support role in the battle. Upon her return to the temple of The Blessed Mother, it is said it was the will of the Blessed Mother for Joanna to ascend to become the Mother Maiden. In THis role she realized that the church could become a ruling force in the new emerging empires. She used the Churches influence to force compliance and obedience from the surrounding regions. She then declared the Empire of Holyun in order to provide protection of the Churches followers from the other emerging empires. Over time this provided protection and display of miracles. You created the most devoted base of followers among any of the empires.

Disbandment

In the beginning the consolidation of power with the CBM led to an extremely devoted follower base. However over time the church began to fall to corruption. The people in power were infamous for abusing the power of the church for personal gain and economic exploits. Many also critiqued the excessive increase in blood sacrifices which seem to target particular peoples. However the deep devotion of its followers kept the Church of THe Blessed Mother in power. However this began to change with the Slave revolutions in Siloud
THe Rebels Began to reject the old religion in the north and actively opposed the church. THis led to other discontented followers to speak up about the status of the church. From the Esterielles, Ladida Johoveth was exposing the inhuman corruption of the church. Meanwhile Zaria Gregori Championed the separation of politics and religion. This all came to a head as what would become known as the Children's Council. It started as a meeting to reaffirm the importance of the church to her subjects. However it quickly became a trial for the corruption of the leaders of the church. It ended with the signing of the Patrino Promeso. Sign by the Current Maiden Mother, Magnolia Sailon, the contract declared that the CHM would not direct exert influence on the politics of the region. It also set in motion certain practices to reduce the corruption of the church in an attempt to heal its reputation.
Normally this change of power would lead to a time of chaos. However, Zaria Gregori had a plan. As part of the Patrino Promeso she organized the bureaucracy of the governing bodies THe Holy forest under the new Kingdom of Hollien. The northern regions, who were still participating in the Siloud slave revolutions, would join the newly formed kingdom of Freefora. Lastly the East Island under the CBM would join Ladida Johoveth the Esterelle Alliance
