Orodio Tree

A magical tree with divine descent from Daineni the Goddess of White Magic . The White goddess had quarrel with Oboros the god of black magic the which nearly destroyed they sacred garden of Halris the Goddess of Life. As recompense, Halris asked that each god add something to the garden to make up for that they destroyed. Daineni decided to bear a child with an oak tree that was damaged in their battle. This first seed was planted and thus the first Orodio tree was born. The original orodio tree is still alive in Higarden.   A magical tree with deep brown bark, golden sap and orange lobed leaves. Produces gold flowers and fruits. Amber is known to grow around the roots. The Bark amplifies magic, the leaves heal, and the sap restores memory. The nectar of the flower satisfies all hunger and restores energy and the flower make those around it happy. The fruit resembles a special apple and takes at least a year to grow, it restores youth, but do not expand the life-force. There seed are known as Soul Seeds which allow the user to maximize their magic output.

Basic Information

Anatomy

In form, the Argentomo resemble the shape of a oak tree. However, the leaves are orange black. The bark is also is copper colored and has feint flows of gold sap. When in bloom the flower resembles a golden lotus. On a fully mature Argentomo about 15-30 single flower will appear in a season. The center petals center also holds about half cup of nectar

Genetics and Reproduction

Once a year around early summer the orodio flowers will bloom. Slowly they will begin to fill with nectar as the season continues. Pollination occurs once the flower fills with nectar and the petal will close. Then by late sutumn the fruit will be fully developed and ripe. if not eaten the fruit will fall off right before the next blooming season. As Note: if the fruit is not picked the Argentomo will produce less flowers the following season.

Growth Rate & Stages

Orodio tree grow very slow. It takes about 12 years before they begin to produce there first flower. Even so it wont be fully mature until about 17 years. However these trees seem to not have a natural death, so they have plenty of time to grow.

Ecology and Habitats

Orodio seem to grown faster and produce more in the presence in Amber . Elder Orodio seem to encourage the formation of amber among this roots. Orodios do grow faster in sunnier locations.

Biological Cycle

Orodio Tree do not drop leaves every season, but continuosly drop leaves a regrow them through out the year.

Domestication

Orodio may be carefull watched over and tended by expert gardeners, but are not produced on a mass scale. For one they are a time intensive plant with a fairly low yeild. Plus they grow so slowly that it require multigenrational caretakers to mass produce them. Few places have them in masses such as higarden, Roselin, Varden, and Azurizan. THese orchard are greatly guard.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

  • Copperbark: Bark from the Orodio tree. The bark amplifies magic through contact. It is commonly be used in magic amplification rituals or items. In can be used in its whole form or crushed into a powder.
  • Summerleaf: Leaves taken from the Orodio tree. Prolonged contact speeds up the healing process. Thus it is favorably used as bandages. The leaves can also be ingested and the curse spreads internally. The dried forms of leaves can also be used, but they its less effective. The healing can also be tailored or modified by further magic manipulations.
  • Goldsap: Sap the can be collected from the trunk of the tree. If injected or ingested in can cause memory recovery.
  • Orodio Nectar: Nectar that pools in the center of the Orodio flower. Has a sweet floral taste. The Nectar satisfies all hunger and restores energy and the flower make those around it happy
  • Goldapple: Fruit of the Orodio tree. Appears like a GOld apple with a unique sweet floral flavor. They restore physical youth of who ever consumes them. but does not increase overall lifespan
  • Soulseed: Seeds found in the silver pear. Those who eat the seeds can temporarily allow the user to maximize their magic output..

They do not have a natural region they from. Orodiowere all planted purposely in each region they are found.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Due to being the child of the white goddess just about atevery part of the tree has benefical effect on other living begins. Even just being in the vicinity of the fresh scented flower is able to amplify happy thoughts. In particular the bark, leaves, sap, Nectar Fruit, and seeds Are harvested for their various beneficial effects.
