Godhood

The gods that exist in the pantheon of Faerun were created, and are kept in power, through the worship of the masses. The will of sentient creatures can imbue creatures, objects, and ideas with a miniscule level of power. A creature can even ascend to godhood through the combined will and worship of enough sentient creatures.
