The Mercers are a wealthy human family who make their wealth from trading overseas. With diverse interests in mining, wool, and arms, ships bearing the Mercer’s sigil are found in far flung places. The Mercers often hire prospectors and mages to scout out the best lands and so they own a portfolio across the kingdom. Lady Florence Mercer, the head of the house, is a shrewd and bloodless businesswoman with a famously sober and money orientated mindset, schooling each of her sons in the ways of profit.
