The Venerable Guild of Masons

The Masons are one of the oldest guilds in Eletheria, whose expertise in building and maintaining stone buildings is ever in demand. In particular, the Masons have a strong connection to the Temple of the Divines, where stonemasons are continually amending and maintaining the improbably complex structure. This close work with all of the groups who have shrines in the Temple is rumoured to mean that the Masons have deep and secret knowledge concerning many religious groups, rituals and the divines themselves. The very secretive nature of the Masons themselves does little to allay the suspicions of the commonfolk.

The Masons are extremely influential and wealthy and often fund philanthropic ventures in the city, as well as expeditions to far-off places, with a great many having been sent to Hwat-Ka-Ptah. Masons serve extensive apprenticeships and are forbidden from sharing the special ways of shaping stone with outsiders.
