The Jackals
The Jackals, headed by Beldris, are in charge of the High Roller's Casino. They also dabble in various illicit businesses of organ selling, fencing stolen goods, and some rare drugs enjoyed by the upper crust.
Structure
The Jackals organization is headed by Beldris. Beldris then has three Aces. Each Ace is involved in control of different aspects of the organization. Jakub controls the intake, processing and sale of body part and blood. Hessa controls the investment side of the organization, cleaning dirty money and keeping a degree of legitimacy and profit to things. Zozel leads the muscle of the group, keeping the Jackals port and casino presence well managed and safe. Under the Aces are the Jacks. They act as the leads for the pocket packs of Jackals that acts as the numbers or grunts of the group.
Culture
The group adheres to the idea that they look after their own but any wager made is the person's to bear regardless of station. In this way, Jakub took over from Borin three months ago when the previous Ace bet his job that he could take on the head dealer of High Roller's in a game of Three Dragon Ante. Even though Borin regretted his descision just moments into starting the game, once a deal or wager is made members of the Jackal must see it through. This makes for a general air of cautiousness in wording and wagers placed by most members of the gang but there are those among them that take unecessary risk to prove their unnatural luck.
Public Agenda
As the minds and hands behind the High Roller's Casino, The Jackals have a discreet but powerful presence as being a group of people that you do not mess with unless you are serious. Little is said in jest around The Jackals. It is said that they can make all of your wishes come true but only if luck is on your side.
Assets
The casino itself is one of the biggest assets for the gang but they also have a lucrative trading presence in certain magic circles and illegal human trafficking rings. Technically, any part or body that they sell is done only to contract but there are still express rules in many of the city-states of Moudon that slavery is not allowed.
History
Born of Beldris' desire to mark their place in hell, The Jackals was formed to keep Beldris' operations strong. It was one thing to wager people out of money and home or even soul but it is harder to manage all of these assets when they begin to collect. Beldris quickly learned the benefits of keeping reasonable and resourceful people around to ensure greater success. Over the decades, the organization has gone from a small group of like minds to a web of people orchestrating almost effortless growth and economic progress.
