The Man, The Myth, The Monster

To some, he's a prestigious headmaster of "The Houndsmoth School for Empowered Learning" and patriarch of an ancient British family. To others, he's a shrewd sociopath who uses blackmail and extortion to steal away children to his castle on the Craigs. But even fewer know the true nature of the gothic horror hiding beneath their notice.

The man known as Mr. Houndsmoth is an ageless being who is the embodiment of conflict and human suffering in the world known as "The Abyss."

He's created whole civilizations and razed them to the ground, devoured races of gods and mortals alike while, directs the destines of all manner of creatures both civilized and savage, never being created himself, but witnessing the beginning and end of time itself.

All in pursuit of a unifying dream only he can fully understand.

Since conflict is quiet, introspective and different for everyone. The audience will NEVER see his true face or even hear his true voice.

The only consistent iconography he will have is his combination between a fox spirit and a hellhound.

During the Heretics (of Houndsmoth), he's the invisible hand that guides Silas and the entire school's actions as he and his [url:]professor prepares a new generation for his new world order. Teaching his students how to overcome themselves so they can teach the world, like a dog being taught obedience to its master.


After the events of the main series The Heretics (of Houndsmoth) and in the subsequent spin-offs, his actions and influence will spill onto the world stage as the rest of society is unaware of the Lovecraftian-horror alters the course of world leaders and institutions to submit to the will of Houndsmoth.
