Holy Sunset

"Holy Sunset" is the second half of 'Elokh-originated hymn "Arc Across the Sky", and has taken on something of a second life following the Clan Killings, especially in the Low Pass region.

Historical Details

Background

Like most things, "Holy Sunset" (and "Arc Across the Sky" more broadly) was inspired by the path Iradae and Lan'tha take across the Mudeweian sky. It carries hints of religious mystery (specifically themes of the persistence of life; "they bear the scent of the sea" is incredibly obvious to the Stenza listener as a reference to the birthing of pups shortly after Last Sunset).

History

"Holy Sunset" took on new meaning for the Low Pass Stenza in particular following the Clan Killings (even after most of the dead have been recovered from the Ice Flats). The line "They bear the scent of the sea" also accurately described the corpses, and the themes of the persistence of life made it something of an anti-Raida anthem.
