Twilight

Manifestation

Twilight is a weeks-long phenomenon which has three stages.

Dawn

Depending on whether the twilight follows the sunset or precedes the sunrise, dawn is either the first or last stage, respectively. It is also the brightest. It brings with it either anticipation or trepidation, for the rising suns or the coming darkness and cold.

Dim Light

This is a middle phase between dawn and pre-night, and it serves primarily as a source of light for the Hunting Season. It has a lot of connotations of long-range preparation, and many barrels of Ale have been made by this light.

Pre-Night

The darkest of the phases of twilight, and where subtle shifts in light are imperceptible to all but the trained sight of certain Stenza astronomers. Usually these phases bookend the Migration season.

Localization

Twilight's length varies based on where one is relative to the equator or the poles, with it running shorter near the former and much longer near the latter.
