Dhachaigh Keep

Home of the Amadan

A foreign dwarven keep belonging to Morberos the Wandering Lord, the Dhachaigh Keep, and its surrounding town are the territory of the strange firbolg, and act as the home and primary base of opperation for the Valor of Amadan.

Purpose / Function

The Dwarven keep was originally designed by a mad dwarven wizard to be his base of operations, but it remained unfinished as his tomb, utilized by monsters as a base of operations until the Valor of Amadan stumbled across the keep, and upon clearing it out, found the deed to the lands and claimed it as their prize.   The Dhachaigh Keep is now utilized as the base of operations for the Valor of Amadan, the home of the aforementioned parties, the Clan of Crog, and several of the surrounding village's servants, and it also doubles as a sort of sudo-town hall.

Alterations

Following his claim to the keep, Morberos utilized the materials laying around to finish its construction, adding a small upstairs segment and wall guard, along with an expanded Eastern Wing. Rooms inside were also decorated or repurposed, with many becoming personal bedrooms, though many still wonder where Morberos disappears to within the keep from time to time.   Because of some misfired magic, and Morberos's personal opinions, the foyer of the keep is overgrown with grass, and has an oak tree housing a dryad inside. The grass acts as a level of protection for the keep, fighting against the movements of unauthorized intruders, and even moving to forcibly block the doorway when Morberos commands it to.

Architecture

Designed by dwarves, the base architecture is very stony, with no windows within the keep. at one time there was a skylight, but it was destroyed before the Valor of Amadan ever discovered the keep, and covered up upon the expansion to the roof.

Defenses

The keep is built of dwarven design, with thick stone walls, and no windows within the base layer. The only entrance is the front door, which is also raised at 10 ft. from ground level. Additional defenses have been added to the keep by Morberos and the Valor of Amadan over the years, including rooftop access, ballistae, the grass living within the foyer, and a dragonbone golem that hangs as decoration from the roof of the feasting hall. Additional defense comes from the strong warriors that call the keep home, including the extended Crog clan, as well as the Valor of Amadan themselves, with Morberos alone being a powerful warlock.
