Amber Rochlynn

BIOGRAPHY

After serving as the second Ranger for 8 years Amber was promoted to the post of First Ranger after the death of Vivian Vardenfell in 1456 at the siege of Ironheim. She had been a loyal member of the stern Vivian's entourage for many years and had been given command of soldiers many times before that.
At the siege she led a squad of rangers on a infiltration mission meant to weaken the resolve of the defenders. This meant she was not at the side of her friend when she died by the Black Iron Axes of the defenders. She believes that she could have prevented Vivian's death if she had been there.
Originally Amber is from southern Rhudaur. As her village was often harassed by monsters from the Southern Wilds she was familiar with the appearance of Rangers from a young age. Growing up as a huntswoman Amber was a prime recruit for the Rangers and was soon taken into their ranks. 

Skills

Amber is a fine markswoman and she also plays a mean game of Pai Cho. She is very acrobatic and can jump further and higher than most. 

PERSONALITY

Amber is though, like most Rangers, and very qualified for the job. Through the years she has seen many of her brothers and sisters die not in the defence against the wilds but in the pointless squabbling of the Chaptermasters. This has angered her to a remarkable degree.

Ideals

Amber is extremely loyal to her brothers and sisters in the Rangers. She would do anything for them and to keep them safe. She doesn't mind to play unfair and understands that war can be brutal, especially if you wish to win. She therefore is pragmatic and doesn't have many moral qualms. 

Bonds

Amber is tied to the Rangers. They are her (only) family.

Flaws

Amber can be overcompetitive and go to extreme lengths to win.

Diplomacy

Amber is loyal to The Night's Watch and its leadership, but not without question.
