Session II: On to Gnel's Hold Report

General Summary

Entrance

The adventurers scouted the building, splitting the party in team Tristan Zabaleta & Nalan, and Oswald Fleetfeet & Balin Thornbow Tristan & Nalan sneak up towards the castle using a Create Fog spell and after 3 attempts manage to remove the iron bars barring of entrance to the hold. Going through the mud, or better put crap, they enter the castle where they are met by two drunk bugbears and a scared goblin jailor. After much effort the adventurers dispose of the bugbears and the goblin jailor, meeting a goblin prisoner by the name of Shluk. Shluk warns them of the mighty Gnel, lord of this hold. After being worn down from the fighting the party takes a Short Rest.

Continued Endeavour

The adventurers venture on into the keep where they meet the goblins in the kitchen. By opening the doors they unleash one large combat, in which the goblins on the walls and the wolves in the courtyard participate. The combat ends in a massacre with the adventurers victorious (nearly downing Tristan by goblin arrows). The party clears the keep and takes the loot for their own, ending their searches in a Short Rest.

Up the Stairs

The party continues up the stairs and are met with a rolling barrel, knocking down Balin down the stairs. The party climbs the stairs and take down the bugbear and eventually the fleeing goblin. They turn Gnel's room upside down, find his alchemical brews and his register and eventually his hidden key to the treasury. They take the loot from the treasure, bestowing the breastplate to Balin, and call it a day.
