Dione The Daylight Star

Dione is the Goddess of the Sun, who holds dominion over the sun, light, some aspects of nature and the natural cycle of the world, specifically the summer season, and is tasked by the gods to act as a warden against devils, demons, and the undead gaining too much of a hold on the material plane.
Dione is worshiped by two main groups, the Church of The Daylight Star and The Order of Warding Light.

The Church of The Daylight Star Worships one form of Dione, being her aspects of love, peace and the aspects of the world she holds sway over in more peaceful times. The Church is made up mainly of healers and scholars, who wish to help advance society through aiding the sick and poor by helping crops grow, using the magic of the sun to heal wounds and provide food and shelter to those who need it.

The Order of Warding Light is the militant arm of the Church, who are far more concerned with Dione's role in protecting the material plane and fighting the many evils that seek to corrupt and destroy it's natural beauty. It's members are generally paladins and other holy warriors, all trained to do battle against the enemies of the Church and Dione, and protect the Church, it's members and holy sites.
