The Forest of Wrentval

The Wrentval is an immense forest that stretches from the outer border of the plains surrounding Ixtal to the deserts of The Estersand and Rabanastre. It takes most travellers weeks, pushing a month or two, to travel around the forest, yet almost all are willing to take the time to avoid traveling through the heart of Wrentval and the dangers within. There are some small wood elven settlements, such as Melmakadi, in the outer fringes of the Wrentval but no settlement beyond those has ever succeeded.
