The Mistake

The Mistake was a war fought between Dalmasca and Nath. It started in 2E 728 and ended after a bloody decade in 2E 738. It all started when a group of pirates commandeered a trading vessel carrying Linth to Nath while it was in Dalmascan waters and that same Linth ended up in the pockets of some Dalmascan nobles' pockets shortly after, leading Nath to accuse Dalmasca of being behind the attack and retaliate by sending in their own navy to seize Dalmascan cargo ships causing everything to spiral out of control. The war eventually ended when the late lord Ison Albelleve sacrificed his life to collapse Ivalor's ridge onto the Nathien army and hold the line with a few trusted men long enough for reinforcements to arrive and draw the war to a close.
