  • On the ring finger of his right hand is a white-gold signet ring adorned with an inscription of the letter 'W' in stylized writing.

  • Sheltered and very privileged upbringing, as the third son of a Highlord of Wintervale.

  • In the sewers he was put in a coma by an Intellect Devourer, then being saved by Maclor Snow and Liam of Waterdeep, both of whom he vowed to protect with his life.

  • Fought some thugs with his Cestus to save a local barkeep named Lara, was knocked out while doing it by Liam. Proceeded to turn a captured thug into the city watch.

  • Gained a set of nightvision goggles after slaying a vampire in its den.
  • Murdered a noblewoman by shooting her in the temple after she resisted attempts at kidnapping.

  • Was scarred for life by a hero of Waterdeep, which was under the control of an intellect devourer. Wielded the axe Azuredge but had to surrender it after the battle ended.

  • Divine Order of Wintervale: A former sworn brother of the Order of Wintervale, a small religious clique dedicated to Torm, god of courage and self-sacrifice. They apply this ethos as much as possible in everything they do.
  • Commander Sir Gyle, of Wintervale (Lawful Good): Sir Gyle is the commander of Wintervale's defence force, an elite army of Paladins, Clerics and Barbarians which protect the vale of all threats. As the eldest brother, Gyle is close with Havelock, but disapproves of his decision to leave home and join the Divine Order.
  • Saren (Lawful Evil): The disgraced middle brother between Havelock and Gyle, Saren is an Oathbroken Paladin who abused his power in Wintervale to take advantage of its citizens and satiate his hedonistic tendencies. After exposure for his crimes, he was exiled indefinitely from Wintervale, and stripped of all of his noble titles and privileges. Even now, should either Gyle or Havelock meet him again, forgiveness would be the last thing on their minds. Unknown to Havelock and Gyle, he is known to go by his alias, Onyx.
  • Lady Dwayna, of Wintervale (Dead): Charged with her safety as a young member of the Divine Order, Havelock failed to prevent an Orc warband from defeating he and his sworn brothers, leading to her death. Havelock is racked with guilt, as he was the sole survivor, and he would give anything to speak to Dwayna again to make peace with his failure.
