The Final Fate of Claire Levi-Smythe

Having been captured be a fomorian after trying to rescue a member of her party; a handmaiden to Athena, Lwaxan, that had long ago taken up a personal watch over Claire and Aegis, choose to interceded mere seconds before the fomorian could end Claire's life. In that instant Lwaxana summon both Aegis and Claire to Athena's court. Athena so outraged by her handmaiden's abuse of the power granted her, Athena crushed the divine spark within Lwaxana leaving her mortal and banishing her to the mortal plane.
Aegis rather than sit idle begged for mercy on her charge's behalf insisting the blame was hers. Athena having no patience for this waved her hand dismissively and Aegis vanished from sight leaving only Claire. Athena looked at her daughter with a pain she couldn't altogether explain.
Finally exclaiming "Daughter I suppose the fault is not just yours I should have been more direct and I apologize. But I can not allow you to continue down this path. You may keep all that you learned, and I will work to have Aegis returned to you. But the rest of your time as one of my Scions will be but a dream." and with a tear in her eye she flicked her wrist leaving her hall empty, Athena was alone holding the divine spark of Claire Levi-Smythe.
