Breath of Blossoming

Essence of Elowyn, flow through me,
For in this breath, I shall gather thee,
Life gathered, relinquished and let go,
Begin anew, sprouting from withered bough.
— Prayer of Blossoming

History

The Breath of Blossoming was first enacted by the Chosen following the cataclysmic events of The Sundering. This rite forms a crucial part of the Journey of the Chosen, wherein the Chosen of Myggdrelis must venture the lands to collect seeds from the Spawns of Myggdrelis. This ritual serves as a solemn prayer to the Spawn of Myggdrelis, prompting it to blossom, revealing the seed within for collection.
In it's infancy the ritual was straightforward. The Chosen would gather the three endemic plants, the symbols of which were etched into the roots of the Spawn of Myggdrelis. Comsuming these plants, they would then exhale a breath onto the Bud of the Spawn causing it to open. Over time, under the supervision of the Order of Myggdrelis, the ritual evolved into a more elaborate ceremony. This transofrmation aimed to unite the people under the Order of Myggdrelis, and highlight its significance and intimate connection to Myggdrelis.

Execution

On the day of ceremony the ritual will begin at Dawn, symbolising the beginning of new life. The Chosen adorned in ceremonial garb, with the Amulet of the World Seed around their neck, enters the sacred area, with the gathered plants in hand.
The neccessary items for preparation of the plants are arranged in front of the Spawn of Myggdrelis by members of the Order of Myggdrelis prior to the ritual's commencement. The Chosen will prepare the plants according to the time-honored traditions of the people, honoring the customs and heritage of the people. Once prepared, the Chosen consumes the plants, absorbing their vital essences.
With the essence of the plants within, the Chosen recites the Prayer of Blossoming and exhales a breath onto the Bud of the Spawn of Myggdrelis. This breath of life, infused with the plants' essence, causes the bud to blossom, if the participee is a descendent or Chosen of Myggdrelis.
Reverently, the Chosen extracts the seed from the newly blossomed bud and places it into the Amulet of the World Seed.
After the extraction the Bud will remain open until the Ritual is completed on the other plane in the corresponding Biome. This crucial detail remains unknown amongst the people of Elowyn.

Components and tools

  • Ceremonial Clothing: a robe delicately embelished with the biome's endemic plant species, colours and the symbol of Myggdrelis.
  • Gathered Plants: Three endemic plants, the specific kind is etched into the spawn of Myggdrelis, freshly gathered.
  • Amulet of the World Seed: A delicately elven handcrafted amulet which holds the seeds of Myygdrelis.

Depending on the region there may be different ways to prepare the gathered plants. For example one region will provide a ceremonial cup, water, morsel and fire, and require the Chosen to prepare a tea to consume. A different region may provide a simple knife to extract the edible part of the plant which would then be consumed raw. Another might provide means to extract the juice of the plants which will then be consumed. All these items are specially crafted for the ceremony, giving the people purpose and meaning, including the community in the rite.

Participants

Followers of the Order of Myggdrelis may attend the event. The highest member of the Order present at the location will oversee the ritual and guide the Chosen. Depending on the region and influence of the Order of Myggdrelis in the region where the rite is preformed, non-followers may also witness the ritual.
The Chosen must be present for this ritual to succeed.

I thought this article was a good solid first draft - a bit of polish and it could be very good. I would like to see a bit more context in it - I understand the ritual - and it's colorful and interesting, but the significance of it to your world needs more attention - why is this celebration important to the people who practice it? Great start here!
